AI agent development services: secure OpenClaw and Hermes agents for B2B teams

Webika's AI agent development services build secure, self-hosted agents that each do one job for a B2B team, on OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, or a custom build. An agent build costs £2,500–8,000 + VAT / $3,000–10,000, fixed before we start, and agent care costs £300–1,000/mo + VAT / $400–1,250/mo.

Open-source agents such as OpenClaw and Hermes Agent can read email, use your tools, and act on their own, which is exactly why a quick install is risky. We set them up to do one defined job, reach only what that job needs, ask a person before anything important, and keep a record of everything they did.

Agents we build

  1. Outreach agent

Researches target accounts and drafts personalised emails for a person to approve, within email and data protection rules. It pairs with our lead generation retainer, or runs for your own team.

  2. Order desk inbox agent

Reads customer orders arriving by email, checks them against your records, and prepares them for entry, handing anything unclear to your team. The full ERP workflow is our order desk automation sprint.

  3. Quote follow-up agent

Chases open quotes and RFQs on a schedule you set, drafts replies, and flags the ones a salesperson should call.

  4. AI visibility monitor

Asks AI assistants your buyers' questions on a schedule and reports which suppliers they mention, as a sample rather than a ranking.

  5. Research and reporting agent

Gathers competitor, supplier, or market news into a weekly summary for your team.

How we keep agents safe

  • Each agent gets its own accounts and only the access its job needs, never anyone's admin login.
  • Third-party skills and plugins are reviewed before they're installed, and again before they're updated.
  • Anything that sends, pays, deletes, or changes records waits for a person to approve it.
  • Every action is logged, and the agent runs on a server or computer you control.
  • You choose the model provider, and its fees are paid to it directly.

OpenClaw and Hermes Agent setups

OpenClaw setup

The open-source agent that works through your messaging apps, with skills from its public registry. We install it on hardware you control and lock it down.

Hermes Agent setup

Nous Research's open-source agent, which remembers context and writes its own skills. We scope what it can reach and review what it learns.

Request an agent

Tell us the job you want done. We'll reply with whether an agent fits, which platform we'd use, and a fixed price.

  • The job: what the agent should do, and how often.
  • The tools and accounts it would need, such as email, a CRM, your ERP, or Slack.
  • Who should approve what it does.
  • Whether you already run OpenClaw or Hermes Agent, or want us to choose.

Questions

How much does AI agent development cost?
An AI agent build costs £2,500–8,000 + VAT / $3,000–10,000, fixed before we start, depending on the job, the tools the agent uses, and the approvals it needs. Agent care, for updates, security patches, and fixes, costs £300–1,000/mo + VAT / $400–1,250/mo. Model and hosting fees are paid to the providers directly.
Do you set up OpenClaw for businesses?
Yes. We install OpenClaw on a server or computer you control, limit its access, review any skills before they're added, and set it up to do a defined job with approvals. Our OpenClaw setup page has the detail.
Do you set up Hermes Agent?
Yes. We run Hermes Agent on infrastructure you control, scope what it can reach, and review the skills it writes for itself, so it improves at its job without picking up bad habits. Our Hermes Agent setup page has the detail.
Which is better, OpenClaw or Hermes Agent?
It depends on the job. OpenClaw works through the messaging apps your team already uses and draws on a large public registry of skills. Hermes Agent, from Nous Research, remembers context across sessions and writes and improves its own skills as it works. We recommend one after the first call, or a custom build when neither fits.
Are open-source AI agents safe for business use?
They can be, with care. Agents that read email and run tools can be tricked by what they read, and third-party skills can carry malicious code. That's why we limit access, review skills, require approval for important actions, and log everything. No setup removes the risk completely, and we tell you in writing where it remains.
Are you affiliated with OpenClaw or Nous Research?
No. OpenClaw and Hermes Agent are independent open-source projects. We build and look after setups of them for clients.
Can you build a custom AI agent instead?
Yes. When an open-source agent doesn't fit the job, we build a custom agent as development work, at £600–950/day + VAT / $800–1,200/day, or a fixed quote.
